Car Magazine Article on E60 M5

Whilst surfing the forums at www.mbworld.org I came across a running "gun" battle concerning the E60 M5 and the MB E55. In the thread entitled "E55AMG (W210,w211)" there is a sub-thread entitled "E60 m5 0-60mph in 3.95 seconds". A young gun (who doesn't have an M5) is in a shootout with the E555 owners. On page 6 of the sub-thread the young gun has posted an article on the new M5 from Car Magazine. It is an interesting article worth reading if you haven't seen it already.

I like max_e55 (from the M-B board). I think he's a good kid.

He says his Dad regrets purchasing the E55 -- says it drives and handles like a pig.

I would not care too much about opinions based on "experience" of anybody starting the post with :"my dad's car......"

You are probably right absent.

And Mattar, could you please edit your "look-what-i`ve-done-to-my-car" list? I don`t think you could get a longer list.

Re: Car Magazine Article on E60 M5

one thing i hate about mbworld.org or mercedes owner in general are lack of knowledge and strong belief that their car is like god and nothing could be wrong.

Everytime I post some truthful comment about my fat E55, those redneck would start to take thing out of context. It's almost impossible to have a civilized conversation in there. This is especially the case with E55 forum.

YOU CAN'T SAY ANYTHING NEGATIVE WITH E55. I also found it quiet amusing on the follow up discussion i am having right now on the AMG charged engine longevity compare to the M engine.

kripsy
That is because you leave yourself wide open. You came to the E55 forum, saying the E55 is a POS and that you are buying 2 E60 M5's one for the street and another dedicated to circuit work. You were called out as a liar and have never had anyones respect since then. What do you expect?
