OT: What is the best comment you got from a police officer after being pulled over?

This subject was on another forum (in Swedish) and it turned out to be so fun so I had to see if we get some fun responses here as well.

My story is:

I was going over a bridge in central Sthlm a bit too fast and a couple of seconds when I finally entered smaller streets (a one way street) I see this HUGE policebus (pic is nit the actual but a similar) behind me and equally larger policeofficers in it. The stop right behind me effectively blocking all traffic on the one-way road. Lights on and the whole kit, alot of black clad police officers out of the car. I think great, here we go again...

Yes, a bit embarrassing. Trying to make them happy. They asked actually valid questions like "What of a bicyclist had crossed the road behind you?" I told them I was very sorry and I probably didnt make the situation better by having a red M3 and then they asked me if I though they stopped me jus because I had a red sportcar, and I replied "No of course". I was trying to seem very apologetic and sorry which works mostly, but after they seen that you lost your lciense once before it's very difficult to make them happy and make it seem likea one-time only error.

After some very embarrassing 10 minutes the police officer tells me:

Police: "This would have costed you €200. But if you take your girlfriend on a dinner for €200 we can forget this incident!"

Me: "OK, we have a deal!"

Police officer then walks to the passenger side of the car (I was out of my car) and he makes sure that the girl understood what the deal was.

I was thinking of sending the receipt of the restaurant to that special Police unit but I didn't

BTW I hit €200 precisely

Re: What is the best comment you got from a police officer after being pulled over?

Having been pulled over on the ODD occassion I will share a few different comments , and not the whole story.

1. Oh , Dam its YOU!

2. Hey Big fella, Business is OBVIOUSLY treating you well.

3. Oh Man an M5 WOW. I gota get me one of Theese.

4. Its a Good thing you slowed down, or we would never have been able to catch YOU.

5. Thats the best speed we got all day, and its YOU.

6. And my personal favourite, "Master Yoda is looking exceptional as always today. Just out stretching his legs I see. YOU'd best take it easy.

Last of all my Least favourite one,

7. By the way, this is an Automatic loss of licence for 6 months.

I guess not everyone knows MIB & Yoda as Yet, but I'm working on it. Take care.

What? Did the policeofficers know you called your M5 yoda? I really hate the type of comments that insinuate what the car costs

Good addition, MIB

Re: What is the best comment you got from a police officer after being pulled over?

I have several amusing cop stories. I'll post one and then others later since I was supposed to be at a business dinner 20 minutes ago.

A year or so ago, a cop pulled me over for doing 75 in a 50 mph zone. She asked me "you got organs you need to deliver in here?"

And I said, "yeah. mine... and one of them needs to deliver something unpleasant in the toilet soon or it will be messy in here."

She absolutely busted out laughing uncontrollably. I thought she was going to stroke-out.

Two minutes later she said. "Well then...you better deliver your organs where they need to go..." and waved me on.

Too Funny. That was great. If you can let one rip around that time, it adds to your credability.

I thought about that as I drove away. She wouldn't have noticed anyway as she was laughing too hard. Jeff

Re: What is the best comment you got from a police officer after being pulled over?

We always used to play a game. If someone came up with a really original excuse, and there speed wasn't too high, we would let them go.

Some people would ask to be let go, and they were given the rules. Come up with an original and you fly birdy.

Re: What is the best comment you got from a police officer after being pulled over?

Police comments over the years -

Pulled over after pulling out of my driveway:
"Just want you to know that I'm going to catch you one of these days."

After waiting several minutes in the M5 on the side of the road for him to finally catch up to me:
"Thanks for pulling over!"

Regarding my speed on one occasion:
"I set my cruise controll at 110mph and you were walking away from me!"

After getting a warning and being let go:
"I've called ahead to warn the National Gaurd of low flying aircraft."

After checking my record through the computer:
"Do you want to leave your car here or park it under that street lamp?"

Third time being pulled over by same officer:
"I thought they took your licence away?"

Fourth time:
"Driving while suspended! Do you know you could get a year in jail?!"

Stopped by two state troopers on I5:
"You passed our plane."

Many years ago. Caught speeding again. (Coming down off Mt. Hood on my way back from hunting):
"I've never seen a deer head mounted on a Peugot."

Highway 99W in my 8.1 liter supercharged and intercooled Suburban:
"What do you have in this thing!?!"

Unmarked car on I5 (again):
"I was about to pull that Jag over for doing 100mph, but then I saw you gaining in my mirror."

Highway 99E in my 930:
"Flames were coming out of your exhaust pipes."

Within the city limits in a construction zone.
"Can I borrow your pen, mine just ran out of ink."

I've got a ton of great stories, but I've got to go right now. I'll check back later and add a few more.

Derek
