Interesting... I thought that BMW said no M version of the Z4... And, I wonder if they are going M3's current I6... or going for the big gun and pulling out the V8?

Looks to aggresive to be a new facelift, so I put a couple of bucks on it being the M. The airdam and front take cues from current and past M cars, so I can hope. Hopefully BMW puts the S62 in it.... but I can only speculate. Welcome to the board Van Klaveren!

How about doing to the S62 what Black M5 and Triflow have planned...geez. Over 800hp in a Z4...sounds like a modern Shelby Cobra. Oh the places you can take that.

It's the new Alpina version. BMW is not doing an ///M version of the Z4 but instead, a collaboration like with the X5 4.6(8)iS. It will be shown at Geneva as well. Look for it in showrooms this fall.

Re: New bmw M z4 or just a z4 facelift?
Supposedly, Alpina has changed their plans and will NOT be coming to the US market.
BMW does have a 1 off M Z4 roadster for test purposes. This looks like other pictures Ive seen. I do not believe they will ever build it. The 3.0 is already too expensive and the price is hurting sales.

Re: New bmw M z4 or just a z4 facelift?
I hope that BMW does build the M version of the Z4, It'll be one fantastic car and will give the AMG SLK something to think about. I just hope that they keep an in-line 6 instead of going V8 like so many other manufacturers (Audi & Mercedes).

Re: New bmw M z4 or just a z4 facelift?
I personally am not a fan of the Z4 and these pics don't really do much for me. Now I think the Z4 that Gustav posted by Hartge Z4 is a much better iteration. I'd take take the M roadster or even the M coupe over the Z4 any day. I think they had way more character and actaully looked like BMW's. IMO they can showhorn in the biggest engine, and setup the suspension to handle but at the end of the day, the thing has still got to look good.
Regards,
Terk.
