I love that car in black. Most of all the lines and angles work great in the darker colors, much like the E60. Great pics, thanks for sharing.

thank you for the pics.
does that sculptured beverage holder look out of place?
looks like it is tacked on?
imo, it is almost a necessity to have one, but shouldn't it be better designed in a GT?
"dear, let me go to the glove box and pull out that organic cup holder and attach it here for your convenience."

It's detachable. i can't remember where I saw it, but it's detachable, and clips in there. It's supposidly pretty cool from what I heard.

that is the point. would you want a detachable cupholder in a luxury car? it will not please any US buyers.
where you gonna store it when it is detached? in the glove box? how cool is that? you fish out this thing to fumble around to attach it for your lady to keep her evian?
i can imagine this going on in the board room:
bmw marketing: "chris, you forgot those cupholders for the americans?"
bangle:"no no no, cupholders does not go with that sexy butt"
bmw board: "who cares about your butt. no cupholder, no american buyers."
bangle:"okay, here you go. cool detachable cupholder for you."

ok ok, I'll give you that one. I never said I liked it either, but still. BMW never made good cupholders, and it seems they won't continue to either.

Re: The sexy six at its best: IN BLACK pics
Nice pics and I do agree that the newer models do look better in the darker colours. I noticed that their is no trunk badge?? Is there a debadging option for the 645i? As much as the new 6 seems to generate plenty of heated discussions on the design, It does look better in person than in the pics. Back seat is still extremely tight.
Love the cupholder comments. | | |
