Re: who has already put down deposit for an E60 M5?

I plopped down a depo on an M6, first on the list. Like zzmd, I am not sure I like the bangled styling. Though the 6 looks better than the 5 IMHO, it's not a beauty like the last two 5ers. I may well keep my E39 and at the end of the X5's lease move to the merc. They may be less fun to drive but they are quite beautiful both inside and out.

youre welcome Dont worry- I was trying to be a little cute in my comments- nothing more. I think BMW has got to worry about the reluctance of many of us on the new styling. I mean- I have a deposit to cover my position should I want to act. But- its not like with the Z8 when I was falling all over myself to find one. I was up in the middle of the night talking to dealers from far away, etc. Thats what BMW should be building, not a design where you say "well......."

Re: who has already put down deposit for an E60 M5?

My dealer in Huntsville, AL is claiming 8 on the M5 waiting list at $1,000 USD each. I checked with my dealer in PA where I got my current M5 and he claimed the list is wide open. After seeing the new 5's I'm thinking about waiting to see what the M6 might look like.
