U.S. Spec 545 pics, the real deal....

Have a lookie. I think the baseball colored leather with the dark interior looks sharp. Otherwise, I think the interior is bland

Thanks to Topaz Tony from Roadfly for secretly taking the pics.

Chris, I agree with you. The baseball glove color leather matched with that silver gray looking color looks like a tasteful combo.

Good to see the SMG shifter up close as well.

Thanks for linking the pics here.

Very nice pictures, perhaps the best pictures I've seen of a 545i so close and so detailed. This is definately one beautiful piece of art work.....

Chris,
thanks for the pictures! I tend to agree with your comments. Too bad he didnt get a more inclusive picture of the "baseball" style interior.

Baseball glove leather interior seems to clash with the rest of the interior leather and finishes. Looks weird.

The more pictures I see the better I like the new 5. I think the quad exhaust version will be very nice. I do think the amber side markers on the headlight will have to go. I guess it will just be like the E39. You will have to fork over $1200 to get euro ones.

WOW, these pics are definitly the best ones I've seen yet of the E60 5 series! Those headlights are the best part of the car without a doubt...like an eagle just meaner!

And the rear end is definitly better designed than the 7 series and it doesn't look as out of place as it first did on the first official pics and spy shots

An SMG with sport button on the 545i!!! I just can't wait for the M5 now! quick BMW, unleash the M5!

Never liked clear side lenses

I prefer the amber. It breaks up the long, wraparound eyebrow look. The clear lenses contrast too much with the exterior. I have never been a huge fan of clear corner lenses.

Looks like I will have to accept this design. Besides, there is nothing better in the automotive pipeline for the next few years (IMO).

Regards, Gene.
