When to change spark plugs? Car has no interval

Hey guys, as some of you might know, I just bought a 2009 CPO M5 with 31K on it.

How do I know if the dealer changed my plugs or when or if they are due? I checked in the service interval in the idrive and it gave no interval for spark plugs.

Thanks.

Mine does, I actually got a message that mine needed changing in so many miles.

Did a quick search and you can see from this thread how you reset the interval once plugs are changed.

I think the newer cars dont have spark plugs updates in idrive. That might have changed with LCI, I don't know. The warranty manual says 37K for spark plug change along with trans and rear end oil change every 3rd oil change.

When to change spark plugs? Car has no interval

Call or go to the dealer, give them the VIN of your car, have them run the service history and see if your spark plugs have been changed. If they have, you should changed every 30-60K miles depending on your car driving habits. the idrive will tell you, eventually, when the service is becoming due.

I changed mine at 34k and they looked like they needed changing. I'll probably change every 30k if that helps.

Yea my car does not have spark plug service warning. I even plugged my Bavarian technic cable in, and shows all the services I can reset, and no spark plugs. Thanks.

Thanks for that, all the dealer gave me was the manual, nothing else, so I wasn't sure of the maintenance intervals, thanks!!!
