IMO the best warranty coverage varies. The important thing is where do you plan on doing your warranty work? If you are going through a dealer talk to their finance department. In my experience you want to work with either A. company that has a high reputation for accepting claims for the type of vehicle you drive. B. the dealer partnership with the 3rd party warranty company. A few years ago when I picked up a used 04 e55 amg I went to the local MB dealer and they advised for Fidelity. I paid 3k for it but they covered close to 20k in repairs within 2 years

And from previous experience I am not sure if Mastertech is still in business. BUT DO NOT BUY COVERAGE FROM THEM! They are not MOD friendly at all. Even if you run plus size tires that are not OEM spec they will void your entire warranty. NO REFUND!

I think the exclusionary is the way to go, I'm not familiar with that company, but go with exclusionary, check with Bruce M on this board to see what he can offer for you, he is great to work with and very knowledgable.

The best warranty boat has sailed (Bmw warranty) if I were you I would consider either Zurich or EasyCare but more than that I would agree with fellow members who suggested you to get advise from your dealer/workshop hearing their experience with the warranty companies

I do not nkow if they sell individual warranties, but CNA warranty company is what Carmax uses and they have been excellent to work with.

More Research

I will look into this and do some more research for other companies that can offer warranties.. Between these two warranties, which one is the better choice? "Kidstoothdoc" recommended to go with the exclusionary offer. Does the premier not cover a lot of items that can go wrong?

If I am reading the quotes correctly the exclusionary offer may not be a good fit and could be overpriced. You would be practicaly paying $7k for 40,000 miles of coverage??? Also, the $100 deductible seems to be pretty high. Especially if you are paying premiums close to $7k. I remember with fidelity if I purchased the coverage from the dealer that sold it to me there was ZERO deductible and if I took it to another shop it was a flat $50. I know its just $100 but if you have 6-7 visits for warranty work that $600-$700 out of pocket! and maybe 2 of those repair items could have been less than $100 worth of repairs ( i know sounds unlikely but you never know).

I have no idea what prices are like for the M5 but I would imagine a solid bumper to bumper warranty for 50,000 miles should run between $3k-$5k and at most $50 ded.

I recently picked up a CNA warranty for my e60 M5 as well. Bought it from the finance manager at my dealership, I would agree that working with a warranty company that is recommended by the dealership will reduce the headaches when it comes time for a claim. It also helps to build a good relationship with your SA because often times they can pull some strings for you esp with modded cars. Just my $0.02
