Hi there,
No real issues with the kit. Not for me at least. It has pros and cons, like all things, but owerall a good mod/tune up.
I can't speak for anyone else here, but I seldom see any cars where I live, that's worth racing against. Especially since I drive on the freeway mostly and from 60-80 mph (100-130 km/h) and up, it's gonna take some real monster car to humiliate a 700 bhp M5 . From a standstill, it's another story, but I'm still undefeated. For now...
What are your thoughts around keeping your car or not? Is the VT2-kit the only thing keeping you from getting another car?
If I wouldn't need a family size car, I'd go for a E9X M3, with ESS VT-2 650 or VT-3, with double-clutch gearbox.

Mine are all pros,
-Price is great compared to the Gpower kit (dollar to HP gain)
-Power is very linear, you do not feel it coming until you look down and see what speed you are doing
-Very easy to look after and maintain
-Kit is made very well and fits nicely in the engine bay
-I have no reliability issues thus far so no cons there
-Tune took a few days to become stable as it stalled on me twice at a stop but that was on day one only
-No heating issues with the heat exchanger in the front grill

Only con I may have is the more power you have the shifts slow down a tad but nothing in life is 100% the way you want it, if it was then we would never mod any cars we ever purchased

thank you for responses, another member and myself were borderline selling unless this kit could keep us happy. My car has now done 90XXX kms and I am wondering whether I should use the vt2 650 kit as I honestly cant find a car that I enjoy more than my M5. I have been driving a RR Vogue as a daily for last few months whilst I have had the M5 on the market but 2 totally different worlds.

I have no idea how quick these kits are compared to exotics and would like to see how they compare. Keeping the car is pretty much solely on how this kit performs as I want more from it.

Are you talking about the 3.91 gears? If so it would not speed up my times as then I would require 2 shifts instead of one. I have other ideas on how to go faster
