How to remove sirius sat?

Hello i just unistalled my sirius satelite radio and sos call malfunction appeared on the screen and entertainment is not working what should i do? couldnt find any diy about it

If you get it back in, would the error go away? if that's the case, try to reprogram.

Dealer might need to reprogram the car after taking out the sirius module. Haven't done anything like that before (taking a sirius module out), maybe another member who had similar experience might chime in.

Not sure if this helps, but I had to have my software updated a few months ago because iDrive was slooooooooooooow. Funny thing is after the software update the Sirius satellite showed up as an option. I didn't even know I had it since I bought the car used and never looked up the options with the vin#. I think a software reload will probably fix that.

you can't just yank out the reciever. when the reciever was installed the most bus(fiber optic loop) was modified to send light to the connector on the sirius module. by unplugging the reciever now you have a break in the loop so the other modules on it are not going to work correctly. you either have to put the most bus back to its original state or jump the fiber optic lines at the connector where the module was. attatched are the install instructions.

Just curious, why did you want to remove it? even though you don't obviously want it receive it any longer....just leave it in?
