Car security surveillance cameras

Hey guys.

Does anyone have any experience with car security surveillance cameras? I'm pretty fed up with finding cookies in/on my exhaust and signs of attempted penetration of nails on my tires . I did some research and found numerous ones of different shapes and sizes. But I can't really find a review on these cameras.

I'm looking for a simple small camera that can record overnight what's going on around the car (front and back views). Can anyone help?

I had one on my previous car after someone kept keying it, I purchased through an online spy equipment store. The camera was small (size of a penny and the lens itself was a pin hole, hung it from the rear view mirror and it would send a signal to a device which recorded it on a VCR. Caught the girl who was scratching my car

I would be interested in buying something like that. Googling around, I've found this CL-1082DV-D dual HD cam dvr. Any good?

Thanks! I'm in a college town so that would explain the immature antics. But still, I rather cookies in the exhaust than someone keying my car.
