Remapping issue

Hi All

Recently had the beast remapped by ca int. I'm having a few issues now:

Firstly under heavy acceleration there is a distinct dip in the torque???

Secondly I took the car to a dyno place to see if this was just in my imagination. It certainly wasn't! The car is also running very lean which in turn has caused a drop in overall power.

What should I do???

Umm... How about contacting the Vendor and explaining there is an issue????? Do not take this the wrong way but posts like this give companies unnecessary bad reputation. CA should sort it out. if they do not, ask them for a refund and to be returned to stock. I think this is the obvious thing to do.

After if you still need the car tuned go somewhere else like Evolve,ESS etc...

Yup, contact CA, I've bought some stuff from them, and especially Roy seems like a great guy to talk to and deal with! I'm sure some small thing went wrong, and they'll be happy to help you.

Sorry guys don't get me wrong Roy is a top guy and the service I've had has been outstanding.

But the post was put out to see if anyone else has had similar issues with remaps and to see if there was a solution as a search did not return anything for me. Not as a dig at CA!

Also the car is booked in to be seen by them again. In hindsight I would have re worded the original post.

So, has anyone had similar results from
Getting a remap??

Regards
Mo

You might want to make sure the car was not acidentally tested in p400 mode as that would cause the car to run lean.

HUGE respect for Ca, Roy and Phil, been helpful to me for all my mods on 2 M5s now!

I have only once had a bad experience with a remap and it was done by AL (the company CA use) BUT I am just one of a few, MANY people here have excellent experience with them. Ahmed had soem amazing gains using Mike from AL and has total beleif in them. My experience was similar to yours with some additional issues. Since then I've always used DMS, Rob runs an E60 M5 and has worked wonders for all the different maps I've had done.

As I say, no reflection on CA, Roy or Phil and maybe I'm the only one who had negative experience with AL.

Below might be a useful link

I can feel the dip in all modes p4 p5 and m. But there is more low end grunt, not worth losing top end power and with it running can't be doing the cat any good. Hopefully they can sort the issue out!

The dyno was done to visualise the dip, if that makes any sense?!?
