First Mod - Black grilles pic

Just wanted to post first mod pics! Plasti-dipped the grilles. Still contemplating just buying matte black ones, but I really didn't feel like messing with fitment of non - OEM ones. So went this route for now. Whats your opinion - get black ones or leave them plasti-dip?

From what I can see it looks good.

When you have some time post a close up photo.

Get the BMW performance ones...for about $100 on eBay, they have gloss black outers which match the shadowline trim around the doors. Fitment is also 100%. No matter which aftermarkets you get, the fitment will not be completely perfect.

I like them! I also went the Plasti Dip route. It was an easy $4 experiment. If I decide to get OEM black ones, I will later, but for now this was cheap and easy

I had ordered some ebay grills and while i was waiting for them I plasti dipped the OEM ones... IMO OEM looks 1000 times better... the slats on the ebay grills were kinda weird and you could tell they weren't OEM

Iand112:
I'm asking others because to me it's a cheap way to go, I can't decide if it looks spray painted or like black plastic. I'm leaning towards black plastic now that it's on the car, but it just seems too easy. This is probably the cheapest change I've done to any car I've ever had - maybe thats the problem.

Had to put in an ipod adapter yesterday and that cost $300 - make an exterior color change and that cost $6
