Stop means stop. Fcar owners runs over cop's foot and gets arrested

For a simple citation, this young Fcar owner could have easily just taken the ticket to court and contest it. But nope!

Now he not only gets the ticket, he gets assaulting an officer, and the scratches to his car from being put down.

Saw this on Jalopnik. Regardless of being right or wrong he was getting a beating for that shizz. The purple cardigan alone was just asking for it.

This video make me so angry If i was in his shoes i'd sue the **** out of that cop. He has no right of scratching or doing any damage to that car. He could of done it differently but trying to bust his window for a parking ticket ?!?!??! wow i don't know what i would do, jealousy for sure.

but i thought they can just mail you the ticket if you drive off, what was the point of making him not leave, that's excising his power or something. And if he would really run over his foot, he would not be dragging him out of the car with so force. Also to the driver, what was he trying to do? It's not like he had to leave, could have waited till the cop is finished. Moving an inch at the time doesn't help.

This is a hotly contest video, some defending the cop, others the Fcar owner. One thing I do agree on is that this could have been handled differently.

My opinion, regardless if the issuance of the citation was justified, the Fcar owner could have just simply waited it out, taken the ticket, and then contest it in court. However, he escalated the situation and disregarded the cop's commands to stop. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know not to flee the scene when a cop is issuing you a ticket, or disobey a cop's instructions (especially when told several times to stop).

Excessive as the cop may have acted, I think the Fcar owner got what he deserved. He refused to stop the car when ordered to. He refused to get out of the car when the cop instructed him to, and he resisted arrest. He wanted to drive off and avoid the ticket.

In regards to having a foot ran over and not being able to drag someone out, you'd be amazed what adrenaline can do and how the body blocks pain. Since the point of view of the camera isn't where the cop's foot is when it gets run over, who knows if it did or not.

IMO, The rarri driver is steering away from the cop to avoid hitting him and probably doesn't want the cop to scratch his new rarri. Seems to me that the cops foot is itching for some tire weight. I am for the rarri driver eventho I would have waited for the citation but I understand his thoughts as cops power trip and most times you just want to get out of there rather than dealing with hot headed nut case NY cops.

Lets see the law suit updates.

seriously? lol

the dude perpetuated the entire situation by trying to drive away... luckily there were cameras trained on the cop, or the retard would've had at least a pair of black eyes... he's lucky he didn't get lit up

Regardless of the cops actions (wrong or right), the Fcar owner, based on his actions, seems to have no respect. Even if the cop is in the wrong, a smart person would have just taken the ticket, listened, and obeyed the cops commands. Then taken it to court.

just my opinion.

On a different note, anyone notice that the owners girlfriend in the video is Stephanie Pratt from The Hills?
