Angel eyes,

Not sure about California, but I know some states it is illegal to have blue or red head lights / day time running lights as those colors are reserved for law enforcement and emergency services.

Angel eyes. Probably less hassle from the cops than the red.

But here's a pic of Devil eyes with red eyebrows I had on my 545i.

They look a bit orange because of the camera. But they're really red in person.

As far as the colour is concerned, red and blue are not DOT compliant...

12.10.3) COLOR OF LIGHT
The device shall be tested for color in accordance with the general Color Test
procedure as outlined in Appendix F. Either the visual or tristimulus method may be
used. The color of the two identically colored devices shall be either white, white to
yellow, white to selective yellow, selective yellow, or yellow, as specified in the
procedure.

2nd that.

The red or blue is pretty ghetto but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I'm on the same page. I feel the colors cheapen the look of the car and make it feel ricey.
