1st problem - seats won't move, no buttons on console work

So i have my first problem. Wife ran errands this am with the M5, it was parked all afternoon. Tonight we get in it and go to the store and when we come out of the store and get in the car, the steering wheel doesn't lower... I try it, the power steering wheel doesn't work... I start to test things =

adjustable steering column doesn't work
the power seats don't work (both driver and pass)
all the buttons on the dash/console don't work (heated seats, active seats, seat vents, etc.)
by the shifter, the EDC and the Power buttons don't work (
rear sunshade doesn't work

The M button on the steering wheel works, the iDrive system works, DSC button works

At a loss, did a ton of searching and I came up with a few similar results, but none had answers except to reset iDrive.

PLEASE let some of you have an idea

Battery? You have an 06 - so battery should be dying around now if you haven't replaced it already.

Doubt it's fuses given how many functions are not working, but worth checking.

After some more looking I decided to put the battery tender on it and see what happens in the morning.

If it's all back to normal, I guess I'll be replacing the batt, if it's not then I'll be scratchin my head.
I haven't replaced the battery, but I haven't had the car long. Checked the fuses, all ok.

Charging the battery is the first step when working on electrical problems

Many modules are interconnected by a CAN bus, a simple serial network. It is possible for one malfunctioning module to block all communication on the bus, so many unrelated systems will malfunction.

Well I didn't really think it would be the battery at first because it was supposed to have been changed not too long ago, but it appears that is not the case.

Put the tender on it last night and it said the battery was only 25% charged (light was green tho on the car). Left it overnight and all the controls worked this morning. Took her out for a joyride cruise

Guess I'll prob just replace the battery.

Battery voltage seems to be a recurring theme as noted with several different issue's guys are/were having. So much technology running......
