Is it possible an engine malfunction-reduced power light

is a transient thing or does it always result in catastrophic engine repair? I had one pop up yesterday on my 06. I turned off the car and restarted it and it went away. I have a call into my dealer but haven't heard back yet.

I've had this happen to me twice. The first was after a spark plug change and one of them happened to be loose. The second was accompanied by a bunch of other faults too and the problem was an idle actuator.

I've also received this code and have not seen it since the idle actuator was replaced.

Let's just say if it comes back then you def will need to get it seen to but def not a catastrophic engine repair by any means.

It could be a number of different thigns. Usually it's a malfunctioning sensor, or misfire detected, oxygen sensor, MAF sensor problem, etc..

If the warning came up, a code is surely stored for what is likely the culprit
