Ran an Exige this morning...

Driving to work this morning on the high way and I see some HID headlights about a mile back making aggressive lane changes. I slowed down a bit to see what it was. Turns out to be a little orange Lotus Exige tearing through traffic. He makes it to my rear bumper and is held up by traffic. He jumps to the right lane and is locked in as traffic suddenly clears up for me.

I step on the gas and having already engaged M mode I am moving qucikly towards my exit. I take the ramp, get on the main road and see that he has also exited. I am really hoping for a red light right now so that he can catch up. Light turns yellow, I step on the brakes and come to a halt. He pulls up next to me and we give each other a nod.

Light turns green and we both take off normally. Get to about 30-40MPH and he hits the gas. He got a little jump on me but I reeled him in quickly and began to pass him when we both realized that 100MPH on this road is probably a bad idea. We both got off the gas and came to the next light.

Had a quick conversation, definitely a cool guy, an enthusiast not just an owner. Hope to see him at the next cars and coffee.

Sounded like he had intake and exhaust, I am bone stock. Just faster, that's all. Gotta say though, those things sound great with exhaust work!

Thanks for reading this entirely fictional account.

That car is my dream car. They don't transport families too well though. The wife said no to the Exige, but gave an enthusiastic yes to the M5. Either wayi ended up better than with a Honda!

The Exige is truly a menacing sight in person. Thanks for sharing!
