Stroker Crank.

Anyone know the price of the stroker crank? I have heard that it's about 3k but wanted to confirm with those who may have a build sheet.

Hey Paul, if I remember correctly, you might be right. I remember seeing Curtis's built sheet and that crank is about 3k. I guess you are itching for more power I see.

Engine is coming apart for new low compression forged pistons and rods so I might as well change the crank if affordable and make it a SC stroker motor and turn up the boost.

Based on the posts I've read from ACG, I suspect the answer is 'Not enough'!

Definitely interested in hearing more about this build!

I am addicted to power so what can I say

Power increase is all assumptions right now as no one has done this before so I have nothing to compare to but with just the LC pistons and rods and a bump in boost we were estimating an additonal 80hp but no idea on trq. Now with the stroker idea the trq will go up considerably and the hp my go up a little less but at the end of the day I just want MORE POWER!!!

There are a lot if custom parts going into the build like pistons and rods are from Mahle where Steve Dinan orders his from for his stroker/race engine builds, then we have to do a custom fuel set up with duel fuel pumps in a custom bracket.

Lastly we will prob have to upgrade the clutch so need to look into SPEC more closely.

Will start a new thread when I get started on the build or just add on to my old VT2 thread but it takes 14-16 weeks to build tghe pistons and rods as they do not have them on the shelf

So, did you purchase another engine, and will be doing this on a second engine, or are you going to be without your beast for 3-4 months?

I will be doing this on the engine I currently have, the parts take 3-4 months but I will still be driving around for that time until they arrive, once they are with the shop then I will drop the car off, it only takes 3 weeks for the build itself along with lots of road tuning.
