To sell or keep that is the ??

The market for 06 E60 must suck, is my pricing off or should I ebay, autotrader or cars.com it? Right now i have only put the car for sale on this board.

06 Sapphire Blk M5/RPI/JAWS W Warranty

I have only had one person even look at the car, it is now priced at $33,000, has 71k miles on it and a warranty till 78k. This week I am getting: New rear brakes, oil change, spark plugs, royal purple SMG fluid change, red line diff fluid change....

Car runs great, are they that hard to sell? Any advice or input would be helpful

thanks!

Unfortunately, the market is not in favor of the E60 M5 right now. Your pricing looks about right though and I wouldn't budge any lower since it is a clean example and you added some nice mods to it. GLWS.

thanks, anyone care to comment on price with mods and warranty till next april or 78k. I think some people are scared because it is on the original SMG pump/clutch..... it works great, is it possible that not every car is a horror story lol. I appreciate all and any input!

Looking online there are 94 06 M5's as of right now just on cars.com. Miles vary as do prices to some degree. Given they are all 6 years old, big depreciation hits are over and they are mostly pricing in the same ballpark(unless ridiculously low mileage). The warranty is a plus for sure, but a new buyer is going to have a hard time getting more warranty and with this car the track record seems to be it should have warranty. Your car looks great, nice mods and the warranty is a plus. My guess is you'll need that "local" buyer that really wants it.
Doubt someone 500 miles away will travel since there are so many out there. Seems like the price is really fair. Have you checked Carmax to see what they will give you. Trade in is around $29k, private sale $32k. If they are $29-31k i'd go that route. They usually come in around trade in kbb. Easy and done with no hassle. Just such a specific market for this car and you may be sitting on it for a while unless "the person that has to have it" comes along....

i bought my five for 40k back in feb 2011 and it was bone stock with 35k miles and is fully loaded your price is fair but if your really wanting to sell it yeah you gotta be at about 29k that right now seems to be the magic number.

Honestly I think it's your mileage. I think the sub 50k mile M5s are still pretty strong in the used market. Your challenge is that people can pick up an E60 M5 with 30-40k miles for just a couple grand more, so given that most are financing, you're in a hard spot..

so my best bet might be to part out some of my mods, trade someone my full rpi exhaust for stock plus cash (what is reasonable) and scoops and sell it. I couldnt justify selling it for 29k.... if 29 is what the market is for my vehicle (and maybe it is?) then she is a keeper BRING ON THE HEADERS lol

Seems like the market is flooded with M5s at this time which may work against you. Also as your car is high up there in mileage it can deter the new buyer from purchasing (even with your extended warranty) as when this warranty runs out it is much more expensive to get another due to the hike in prices that took place early this year.

Yeah I agree - you'll never recoup the cost of the exhaust and mods in resale. I do think $29k is low (though the pac nw is a strong market for bimmers in general so my perspective is skewed). Surprised that your sapphire black isn't moving though at $33k, it along with alpine white seem to be the two highest demand colors.
