audio setup in the M

I was wondering what people are running in their M I was thinking a JL audio 12in W7 custom or pro wedge box with a JL audio HD 1200/1. My question is does anyone have that setup currently is it to much should I go with a 10in w7 and 750 amp? Also will I need to add anything to my stock setup? I currently have the logic 7.

Logic 7 is more than satisfactory (although I have the individual enhanced audio) because the sound of the S85 is what should dominate your ears, not a ghetto blaster with an amp screwed to it.

I use the car's factory enhanced premium sound system. My audio system is my Dinan exhaust and listening to it with the windows down

I'm not sure how many members are running anything other than a factory system. I think M5 owners, for the most part, are more performance oriented than music/sound oriented.

haha, this made me laugh. I agree that the M5 isn't meant to be a beat box. But hey, it's his car so whatever makes him happy

I am running a JL 13.5 with a JL XD 600/1. I will tell you that my setup is MORE than required. I have the Dirac system in the M5 which is OUT of the world with the JL setup.
I would however have to agree with other fellow members who say that the factory Logic 7 is more than sufficient.

I do switch off the music, roll down my windows half way and hear my V10 with catless headers and RPI full exhaust. That exhaust note is what I paid all the money for

I later thought of getting into a 8 inch sub but then just gave up on making changes. My setup is all stealth, you cant tell where the amp is, you cant tell with the sub woofer is and thats what I Love about it.

The reason I ran a sub is when I did the CIC, I felt like I lost a lot of bass and that made hunt for a sub woofer setup.

The good part is, the amp basically has no weight and I can always remove the sub and keep it in my garage if I need too.

You should record your RPI exhaust, then play it through your audio setup. Wouldn't that be crazy? Oh, wait...

Well . . all that comes to my mind is . . . . the people who made the new M5 came up with a similar idea where they have the exhaust note playing in the speakers and you know what BMW fanatics thought of that .....

Yes difference is that it wouldn't sound blatty like the new TT 4.4 V8. What a terrible sounding car.

Pardon my ignorance, but is this true? The engine/exhaust note is reproduced through the audio system??

Thanks,
