Ahmed-
Truly so sorry to hear about your accident. I share everyone's sentiments that you are okay. Looking at your car I would have feared for far worse. I hope your back comes around quickly having gone through something similar. Get yourself the best orthopod you can find. I know you are many miles away from me in Chicago but if I can help you with a referral I would be happy to do so. The docs that take care of the Chicago Bears and the Bulls are who I have in mind.
Best,
KenL

I opened the thread and thought it was one of those 'check out my car's pics' thread until I scrolled down a little further. Oh damn!!! Glad you're ok, the M5 can always be replaced...at the end of the day, its just materials.

Oh Ahmed I'm REALLY feeling for you First off I'm glad you're OK and nobody was seriously hurt or worse. I feel sick just thinking about it, just looking back at the magazine article you sent me, that was one special beast you had It must be really painful to see the beast like that. I guess it will be a write off, I just hope you can salvage all the parts from it and start again with another beast. Don't give up on the brand please!

I will be looking forward to seeing your next beast, don't leave us for another brand like I did!

It's painful to look at those pictures Ahmed. What a tremendous impact it must have been. Thankfully you are ok. I wish you the best in your recovery.

Hurts me to see those pictures. Heal up well! Want to minimize the chances of those injuries bothering you later on down the road. Cars can be replaced and your BMW did what it was designed to do!

Wish you a speedy recovery my friend.

Holy Crap Ahmed-this is downright awful-you have one of the best looking M5's on the board, feel so bad for you. The sacroiliac can be tricky but after rest and healing, a lot of beneficial exercises can be done to stabilize the joint.

I think i remember seeing a video about some other street racers from your part of the world weaving in and out of traffic at high speeds and it looked like kill or be killed. Not a lot of courtesy. Is that how it is and does anyone get written up because of the collisions?

Do you have any recourse for the fool who cut you off?

Get well soon and get back on the horse as soon as you can!!

Bill

Ahmed,

As others have said, the most important thing is that you are okay and can recover from your injuries. I've really appreciated your knowledge and contributions to the board over the years. Your car will be sorely missed my friend, but much better to miss a car than you.

The good news is that now you have the perfect excuse for that F10 upgrade!!
