HELP!!!DSC malfunction increased emissions error

Ok, sorry if this has been talked about before.

Car has been great so far but, yesturday went to my sisters house, parked the car, locked it, 20 minutes later, alarm goes crazy, ran outsite, unlocked the car, locked it. everything ok. 20 min later, same thing happens, ran outside again, unlocked it and decided to start it. DAMN!!!

DSC malfunction;reduced vehicle stability under acceleration bla bla bla. checked what I could, shut it off, went back inside for an hour, when I left to go home, no msg and no errors. I'm thinking ok, weird, drove home, no issues.

Went to work today, no issues, went to go get the wife. Then #$ck, new msg, Increased emissions!

check the battery, volt meter is reading 13.67 with car running.

any suggestions? car is an 06 m5 with 98000k. I have 3rd party Ensureall warranty Plus.

Thanks Bobby.

There have been several threads where members received the same error messages, including myself. Looks like the common problem was the idle actuator in bank 1 or bank 2. The dealer's process would be to look at your battery first, then try to update your software then next step.

Good luck. Hope it's something as simple as the battery.

Possible fix?

Bobby,
I have an '08 and had the same errors about a month ago. I'm still under CPO warranty and they found that one of the Throttle valve actuator motors for bank 1 failed and replaced it. The part # is 13627834494 : Actuator

The Server Advisor said that the repair would have been $1100 if not under warranty.

One other thing, I use Torque and it read a P1628 - Powertrain code.

Hope this helps,
Jim

Even if the message disappears I promise you it does return and then it gets worse. Mine and fixed under warranty but I have heard others stating their warranty would not cover it
