Dropped the beats off at 8AM, showed the SA the snap shots of the errors codes, he went and saw the increased emmisions error himself.
Called at 1 PM, car was full of codes since purchase date so they erased all, tech went for drive, no codes came on, second call was at 5:15PM, no codes still, car will need to stay over night. I told the tech about the Throttle acuator and he said yes, they think its that but need the code to come back.
My money is on it not being the battery. I had a similar problem and it was the throttle actuator, bank 2, just as others described. Warranty covered it, but the parts were on back order. Hopefully the stocking issues on the parts has been resolved by now.
If the problem happens again, just hook a volt meter to your battery with the car running and monitor the voltage. If it dips into the 12's or goes over 14.2ish in spikes, could be your alternator. You'll also most likely throw high voltage codes if that's the case -- and these can be seen with an AutoLogic.
agreed, everyone was right about the throttle Actuator, they even see the fault in the history of codes, BUT, after clearing the code, and trying to get it to show up again, thats where the problem is it didnt come back, they know its that and gave me my $2395.52 estimate with tax and labour and said when it comes on again, bring it back and we'll change the part.
for now they charged the battery and did my battery part recall and charged me $199.00 for there troubles..
ok, so after a month of no errors, the error finally came back (increased Emission’s),
took it to the dealer, they said it’s the same issue I came in for before and will need to replace it. They called my aftermarket warranty comp and they said, yes, customer has the Secure Guard Plus warranty but unfortunately it doesn’t cover this part. Throttle Actuator part # 13627834494, total parts and labor would be about $2486 with our lovely tax. My cousin is a salesman there so they said ok, we can do it for you for $2079.00 with the taxes, I called a few other Indy shops, they were more than that, so no brainer I just gave the go ahead to BMW, You would have hoped that paying almost $6000 for an aftermarket warranty would come in handy.
A local indy shop told me to keep the part and there is a guy who rebuilds them in the UK. is that true?
They Gave me a 2013 X3 loaner and said come back tomorrow.fficeffice" />
Check the capacity of your fuel tank, under 15 litres, hard accelaration over 7000rpm triggers the same error - take my word for it. Fuel shifts to the back wall of your tank and for instant no fuel, only air and bang, everything lights up. This is the first posting I need to share. Test this before thinking this DTC and all the other errors have anything to do with either the idle control devices or throttle bodies.

If you were a bit handy with tools, it's not a hard job to swap out an actuator could've saved yourself tons of money
