True this past weekend I drove from Pasadena to Victorville (don't ask i know its a dirthole) and avg 18.5 mpg going about 90 the whole way, not bad for a 500 plus car at 90

No, you were probably right. Traffic wasn't really permitting I let it all out. I probably had it in M mode maybe twice during that trip. Plus, New Baby and all

Did 18.9 mpg @ 75 mph this past weekend on I-95 over a 60 mile stretch. That was with 3 miles of stop and go. It's just that the littlest bit you get on the S85, the mileage plummets!

Word of advice, if you want to maintain better MPG - DO NOT GET AN EXHAUST. The amount of times you will want to punch it to hear your now-alive V10 exhaust will cause MPG to go in the toilet. I have a Corsa on mine and it sounds unreal, especially when up against buildings or jersey barriers.

This did indeed prove to be the case -the Prius was a gas hog when pushed, interestingly.
This was cause the Prius was floored the entire time for max acceleration.

If we drove side by side cruising at 100mph, it would be a different story.

I got 28.5 uk mpg from my m5 over 120 ish miles cruising at 70 mph with 2 adults, 2 kids and luggage. And that's around 34 mpg in us gallons. I was on super unleaded, P400, D1, cruise control on where possible. Had to drive like a nun to achieve it!
