Rear-ended...GRRRRRRR

Well, on the way home I was stopped in traffic, she didn't, and BAM...got rear-ended in the M5. Oh please oh please oh please tell me this is repairable! It should be from initial inspection. Fortunately all parties seem ok physically so far, so that's most important.

Now the painful part...PHOTOS!

'06 M5, took ED on Aug. 28th, 2006 in Munich!
Re-delivery on Oct. 20th, in Temple, TX.
VANOS killed M5 engine - totaled out 9/9/2011.
M5 currently in purgatory awaiting its fate...
1. either let go to insurance company and auctioned off for parts, OR...
2. purchased back and reborn with a Dinan stroker engine!
Option 2 please, DONE!

Glad you're alright...that's the important part. Looks pretty repairable so good luck with the insurance claim and hopefully it gets resolved quickly

Nice how the exhaust doesn't even looked dented or scratched but the honda got its face pushed in. Probably be more damage that can be seen on the M5 if the exhaust came off like that.

Glad everyones okay and GL on your repairs.

I'm optimistic about the repairability. I did notice inside the trunk the floor was buckled up, the underside exhaust heat shields were also crumpled a bit, and as seen one Dinan can was completely off, the other is bent, the pipes forward are bent as well. So, new Dinan exhaust, and the rest should be all BMW authentic parts. Bringing her back to life AGAIN!

Well they do not pay for add ons like my front splitter but are you reffering to the DINAN exhaust as I think they will if its comparable in price to the OEM. They have for me in the past.

Damm that sucks and a Honda has no business touching the M5's *** like that it deserves much better if it's going to get its rear pushed in!
