In theory, yes. In practice however I can definitely understand why salesmen at dealerships would ignore you, if you look young they may mistake you for someone whos there with their parent so theres no reason to come up to you and help you. Another reason being not too many 16 year olds out there buying 40+K cars, so they wont waste their time with you.
Yea totally understand that, never thought about that side of the aspect really...

If your father does agree to buy you the M5 which I dont think he will, (no offense) give us a heads up so we can stay off the roads when youre driving. (lame joke)
But personally I feel like you should wait a few years before getting this car, you barely if even gotten your DL and have absolutely no driving skills yet, not to say youre a bad driver its just it would be better for you to wait and get experienced driving first before getting a car of this much power.
it would save you a lot of headaches in the future.
To this day im thankful my parents didnt buy me my dream car when i was younger (im 22 now) because the things i would have done would surely have caused problems for me in the future.

For right now I'm rollin in a hand down RX350 soccermommobile, I actually like the thing and so does my GF...
You got lay down on the weed the bro, and yes I did, you know how 6 and 7 are next to each other(at least I hope you do), it was a typo...
lol no shade....but i also dont blame the salesman. You are blessed to be considering that option so it's not an everyday thing for them. Be wise in whatever you do. dont force or rush anything. Also, there was a thread where someone was considering something similar...and ill tell you the same thing... Sometimes these cars require a plan ahead approach in regards to getting them. If you somehow can't get an e60 when you are 16-17....you def can aim for an f10 when you are 21-23. I am not talking down to you or anything...just coming from someone that is as close as a peer as you'll find on here besides a strong few

I am thankful too. I would probably have SHITTYY car insurance by now. and the law would have me by the balls figuratively speaking. your mind changes a lot from 17-22. (mostly for the better, lol).
I have a regular car (a civic), well maintained, and super low insurance, no accidents, no tickets. it poised me to even consider buying a car such as one of these. I can insure both a DD and a ///M for about $1800 a year. That would not be the case if i had things my way back during your age

Exactly, I wanted an M3, and had i gotten it Im 100% sure Id have a ton of citations.
At that age people dont think about the future, I didnt think about how those tickets would screw me up (regarding my job, Law enforcement) or how my insurance rates would be through the roof. I just knew if i had an M3 id be the coolest cat on the block.

Thats cheap, I got a quote for $2400 just for 2009 M5 with the same coverage I have now on my RX, $500 deductible, $500,000 medical coverage, 12,000 miles a year and I left something out which I can't remember. I pay $1300 for the RX right now...
