eBay exhaust

Check this out:

New BMW M5 E60 Rear Dual Section Exhaust Muffler Set 06+ add-on New | eBay

At that price, I'm tempted to buy a set just to see how it sounds. The craftsmanship looks pretty decent. Likely made somewhere in Asia, but priced appropriately.

Looks like a knockoff of Eisenmann Race...

Apparently a handful of people have already bought this from this guy - anyone actually seen/heard these in real life?

EDIT: Found a thread on these - Identify this exhaust anyone?

Wow... I deal with high purity stainless steel welding daily and from the pictures the welds are very good. SS is most likely low grade, but normally welds will not look as clean as these with lower grade stainless. For 700 bucks the worst you could end up with is a couple boat anchors! If you do it post some pictures and sound videos. I do think 3k for exhaust for the amount of material and labor to build is extreme, but when they don't sell 100's of them a day you have to make the profit somehow.

Looks like my old Eisenmann Race exhaust. If it is a knock-off then it looks to be high quality.

Yep - stainless steel cans shouldn't cost 3k.

Welds do look good, but I'm sure a lot of work go into the inside of the cans as well, which drive the price up for quality aftermarket units.

You'd be surprised how little there is inside a muffler.
