As much as I absolutely love the E46 M3, we'll be reviewing new cars from here on out. I'm really looking forward to driving the 1M coupe. We'll try for that next, followed by the F10 M5 of course.

Great job with the video! Thanks.fficeffice" />
BTW, the "jerkiness" in city driving mentioned in the narrative is due to the s/w revision for the US cars. Apparently, besides removing the launch control feature BMW changed some other things that negatively impacted shifting. I other words, the car was not designed this way. Recently, I've reprogrammed mine to Euro SMG and it's not the same car – pure pleasure to drive in the different S modes. I think it improved the D modes as well but I don’t have a good reference because I very rarely use them.

I've heard about that but have yet to have mine reprogrammed. I must remember to do that one day.

Cool video! My vote goes to E39 M5, the generation that introduced the angel eyes, M signature quad exhaust, and came in strictly 6-speed manual transmission. Simply put, the car that coined the words Super Saloon. It may be getting on in years, but is just coming of age, with multiple 500whp, 600whp and 700whp tuning options released this year.

I love the E39 M5 as much as the next M enthusiast, but we'll be doing newly released cars from here on out. The E60 M5 was a kickstarter of sorts.

Oh I see how it is. Learn on the tried and true old girl , and then when you're ready for the big-time, you run off with some hot fancy new thang, huh? Harrumph!

Ah, there's a little bit of Berlusconi / Secret Service agent in us all!

It's all good, man! The video was great, and we E60 fans appreciate the send-up on the cars we love so much. I look forward to whatever you do next, even if it's a Mercedes No, wait...we wanna see if that SLK with the NA V8 engine drives as poorly as it did on the track on Top Gear ...LOL.

The M5 in the film was my M5, the old girl isn't going anywhere, that much is certain. As far as moving on to fancy new things is concerned...if someone offered you a McLaren MP4-12C or a C63 AMG Black Series to film/play with, would you turn them down? Thought not
