Since when do warranties only cover parts and not labor? Smells fishy to me...

I agree, but unfortunately I wasn't in a position to play hardball.

That sucks but the important thing is that you were able to get your situation resolved without too much heartburn.

good luck

When they good will something they usually go hafsies labor/parts with the customer since the mechanics don't usually like to work for free.

IMO, yes, but they must have run out of CELs when they gave us "increased emissions".

There is usually a low pressure code stored, but no idea why it would trip the CEL or SES. Silliness.

jcolley ill take a quick vid of my car at idle it has a little ticking sound when its idling i want you to hear it. My mech said its the injectors but i cant help but want a few more opinions. ill take some vid and post it up tomorrow morning. my right side vanos is a little louder than the left but im not too worried about that yet but the ticking sound has me a little concerned especailly with all the 06 engine failures that have been reported as of late. rod bearings im not worried about yet smg was replaced about 15k ago and seems okay except for the occasional gear flash in s1-s3 under light acceleration but overall runs great. my car is an 06 and my driving pleasure has been hampered a bit due to worrying all the time. its love hate relationship right now. These cars are so over engineered and cost way too much to allow a major failure to occur, yes im out of warranty lol.

I think this mostly effects the 2006 model. My car just had the pump replaced as well and it was covered under warranty.
