Yes it would, you would lower torque and HP unless you retune for more boost and advance the ignition to make a gain. Lowering the compression just reduces the chance of pre-ignition (knock).

I don't know if anyone mentioned this since I didn't read through the next 10 pages, but look at that GTR vs a SL65 with a Renntech tune!!!!

The GTR stayed with it. No freaking way nothing is done to it....just impossible. I have seen stock 2010 GTR's not be able to keep up with a stock M6 coupe from a 60 mph roll.

The ESS car is a freaking beast if it can pull like that on that individual GTR that beat the Renntech SL65

They did do a rolling start and they were even until Eloy started pulling away at the end so your statement doesn't make a lot of since to me. I realize hp numbers can’t be just compared and that every dyno is going to be different but you have to use some kind of benchmark to understand what you are seeing. In comparison, take the Dinan stroker M5 against the 997tt. Virtually the same numbers we are talking about on both cars. The stroker walks it on every roll on test fairly easy. I only use this because this is the closest thing I can come up with at this point. None of this is meant to be an argument, only discussion.

I don't think anyone here is saying that the e60 or the f10 is in the same class. It is obviously not. The GTR is the king of the hill at the moment and virtually every car out there is comparing their car to it. It is something to shoot for, that’s all. There is nothing wrong with doing that. Maybe, if Eloy would have had his car ready for a one time race as everyone else did we would not be having this discussion? Before I get flamed...That is not a diss on Eloy what so ever. I have respect for everything he has done for our community.

Haha yeah, we are all arguing and we haven't even confirmed the "real" mods yet for this GTR. Put Eloy's car up against that orange VT 650 M3 and lets see what happens. At the end of the day there are not going to be any stock cars that can compete with a VT 650 M5/M6 and that is all I really care about

I am keeping the M6 basically stock until I can afford to own a beast like that

$300k for the car....$300k in maintenance over the next 5 years

Haha wow. Yeah I am all about throwing money into my hobbies, but I do not want anything that is going to fall apart or be in the shop every other week. There is a UGR TT Spyder for sale in Texas, only 200k

Only has 4,000 miles on the vehicle. Hurry up and buy it so we can drive in the Mtns. Friday

Yea I have no clue how much maintenance those cars are but I imagine they need something fixed every few months at least. They need to sell a maintenance plan with those cars lol

Hopefully the ESS M3 is not as fast as the ESS M6, but then again the M3 is much lighter.
