In order for a car to be a design masterpiece, the usual public reaction must be one of awe or love-at-first-sight. I have not heard of anyone who has fallen head-over-heels in love with this car as a result of seeing the pictures. Those who are not repulsed by its "flame" rubbish, think it's nice or looks good. "Nice", "not bad", and "looks good" are comments that do not equate to a design masterpiece.

That guy's on drugs.

I disagree. I think time will tell that is it masterpiece or not, love at first sight may mean, that you get bored to it very soon...

Miko,
Im with you. Although my very first reaction was: oh no! not more flame surfacing Bangle speak!!!! Now my reaction is more: very interesting and I actually like it a lot! I think one thing Bangle and co are bringing to the table is design that does not tire quickly. Of course, if you dont like it, it means you hate it immediately.

Z4 or the M version maybe

Hi,

I voted "too early to tell". I'd like to see the car in person. The pics/CGI's of the M version of the Z4 however look nice.

Ouch for europe..

How about this quote from the story..

First North American deliveries begin this autumn; in a rare switch of priorities, the Europeans must wait until spring. No word on prices yet.

Hmmm.. This sucks..

Beauty is all relative isn't it? The Z4, if it standard for the first roadster BMW has ever made, then it's pretty f-king ugly. However, IMHO, compared to the Z3, it's one heck of a good looking car!

my 2 cents.
