A proper carbon panel, loosing the sun roof and new head lining would be something I would be interested in. The extra head room and loosing 35kg from high up would be great! If you find something let me know!!

I've seen wrap, looks ok but don't see the point!

I haven't heard of someone replacing the roof yet. I thought I saw some pics of Dinoc CF wrapped roofs but I can't find them now. But it would have a carbon fabric look, not your usual CF look because no gloss coat over it. Unless you wrap it in Dinoc and then put another gloss wrap over it.

Wrap vs paint is about the same cost. The good thing about the wrap is it is removable. The bad thing about the wrap is from what I have been told, only matte wraps work well. Gloss wraps don't last long because apparently scratches show up very easily and after a few car washes, you get massive swirl marks you cannot get out unless you peel and re-wrap.

My car's scheduled to get the roof painted gloss black this week.

Johns car is white so his black roof will stand out more against a car your color.

Something similair to the M5 in this thread.

If you guys are looking for someone to make a CF roof, try contacting the guys at IND Distribution. They have made CF roofs for the E90 M3 and E82 1M in different weaves (1x1, 2x2, 4x4, V-Weave) and different finishes. Maybe you can gather enough people they may be able to produce one.

Yup, I will. But there's one that looks very similar to what mine will look like in the thread linked by ACG.
