Hello everyone.

I must tell you my experience about THEMODITY (Daniel Ackerman)
.:.THE MOD CITY.:.High Performance Alloys.:.
and
Iconz wheels ( Mitch).

I have big problems with my wheels that I bought from them..... the after sale is **** and so on. I take this story short.

- Before I ordered them, the seller THEMODCITY / Iconz promise me that after the beforehand payment I will get the wheels after 3-4 weeks.... but actually it took approx 8 months!!!!
( Whole of this story was a true nightmare.... lot of lies and so on ). But what can you do because I paid them beforehand )

- When I got the wheels I wanted bigger lips at the front wheel and at the same time change the ET 15 to ET 3..... I want use the same width 9,5" also....
THEMODCITY / Iconz gave me on offer about that. Here is a copy about that offer.

For the barrel switching, the pricing we agreed upon for
everything was $1640 shipped! That includes shipping, and
insurance, as well as the price for a bigger lip, and (2) whole
inner and outer barrels. You will not have your offset that you
requested, as well as bigger lips. Do you have my account
information to put this in still? Please get back to me asap,
thank you very much.

P.S. Here is what we are doing as requested. ET 3 with the
same center and same width 9.5”

(The price 1640 Dollars include outside and inside barrels ).
After few weeks they told me the barrels are ready for the delivery if I pay them directly. I paid them next day...... It took approx 6 months before I got them and they send me only the outside barrels!!!!
Now I have had a fight about the inside barrels for nearly 6 months and I don't know if they are going to send me anything.... THEMODCITY Daniel Ackerman have told me for approx 6 months ago that he have ordered them.... but today I know he lied to me again because Iconz asked for the barrels info.

- The third nightmare.... the wheels have blow out,,,,, lot of rust only after 6 months.... I have not use the car at winter time and I have not washed the wheels with wrong chemicals and so on....

I must warning everyone about THEMODCITY ( Daniel Ackerman) / and Iconz ( Mitch) about the really bad quality and about the bad really bad after sale..... lot of lies all the way... from the beginning to the end....

Here I send some pictures about the wheels and rust lips..... I have contacted THEMODITY / Iconz for 6 months ago and asked what they are going to do with them..... Answer was no warrenty.....
They have just played with me all this time and I have warned them that I'm going contact a different car forums and tell everyone about them and so on.... I have all facts at my side.... they cannot go around that....

So I recommend everyone don't buy anything from them.... this has been a really nightmare for me and I cannot see the end of it yet....
I'm still waiting for the money the rubber me or the barrels and everything I have write here is the TRUTH!!

One thing more... this have cost me around 7000 Dollars with freight and customs taxes!!!!! And the they send me this ****!!!
I hope somebody from there can help me to do a repport of offence at the "local" police department???

WHat are the defect and what is caused by them?

Also, what is their filan word on the issue?

wow you paid $7000 for those wheels?!?! that's really awful of them!

Sorry to hear about all the issues and thanks for giving all of us a heads up about this retailer. On a better note I really like the gold wheels on your car. I was considering going with a similar setup for my car so its nice to see someone else that had the same idea. Really good look!!! Good luck with finding a solution. Did you call the wheel manufacturer directly to see if they can help?

Real shoddy work and extremely bad customer service. So they are not standing behind their product?? After only 6 months and the wheels look like that

must be something you can do.

They have answer me that the wheels are NOT made at our climate or I have use wrong chemicals.... but that is not true.
I have use same BMW original "car shamppoo" I have use at all my 6 cars. By the way... I have an mercedes E350 to which have Mesh wheels with chrome lip and no probleem at all in three years.... so you can understand that I cannot accept their arguments.
We have nice weather here also.....
I have send Mitch at Iconz ( the owner) lot of e-mails now and NO ANSWERS.... The dealer THEMODCITY answer me and they said for the barrels that they are on the way..... but I don't belive them at all.... Lies from the beginign all the way
So whach up.... Daniel use kindly words..... and he have promise me to send me bak money if Iconz don't do anything.... but I think I'm not gone see the money or the inside barrels..... Oh ****.... I'm so angry!!!!

wow, thats just wrong on so many levels. Sorry to hear of your troubles ..... Thank you for the heads up on a poor quality vendor
