I'd like to do that euro version on my car. and what ever else you have done to your car through the computer flash. Can you email me or call me. alfredo.garrido30@hotmail.com or [ph# removed]. If you can that would be great!!

hi, I am in Calgary. I have euro version on my car. Either way to do DIY (you must have the right tools and extra caution) and maintainer battery min 30A (not charger) is a must to use. Or contact ECUPROGRAM.com (local shop who can do it).

Wanted to chime in here with one observation. After installing this successfully I went out to test a launch a few nights ago. Worked perfectly *except* when I tried to launch a 2nd time about 5 minutes later I was back at 1500 RPM. I drove around another 30 minutes and checked again and I was back at 4k RPM. No biggie but thought it was worth noting.

I've read conflicting reports of the euro version shifting through at redline when launched:

1) Is this true?

2) Does this flash apply that functionality if #1 is true?

Thanks.

It will shift for you if you hold the gas full

It is my understanding that the Euro update shifts much better as well - not just the 4k LC.

Not sure if this has any place in this thread but I have the latest BMW Standard Tools v2.11 (2011)

BMW STANDARD TOOLS 2.11.0 (2011):

https://rapidshare.com/files/1769531702/bmw_tools.rar

maybe the new version software will help on the 08+ regardless the version originally included in the start the of thread was from 09. this is the 2011 version. Figured I'd share it with you.

I'm in Greer, SC, and just bought my power supply. I'm hoping to do this in the next few weeks if I get some time. You have your car down here at Clemson?

I have my M5 down here occasionally. Currently I don't as I usually leave it in the garage in my home in NY for the winter months and drive my Jeep. Not sure what BMW dealership you use but every time I've been to century BMW for service with my M5, it's been a great experience although I wish it wasn't such a hike. All I know is my battery has been low for about a year now after being off the trickle charger for a couple days the car shows a high drain message and acts funny so I need to replace my battery before I attempt this.

Overall good experience at century has been good, but expensive. Found an Indy guy near by, so use him. I think my power supply will maintain constant level of power, so going to try sometime soon. I'll post when I do it. What brings you to Clemson?
