Finally tried this out tonight on my 2006 and it worked. I used the following charger/starter:

Amazon.com: Schumacher PSW-61224 DSR ProSeries 250/200/180 Amp 6/12/24 Volt Manual Wheel Battery Charger/Starter: Automotive

On the 12V "Start" setting which is > 60A.

No other issues to speak of and got 4k on the launch control. My only question was regarding the cruise control speed adjuster also adjusting the launch control RPM after this update but it appears that it doesn't. Oh well, 4k works fine

So, no issues at all with the transmission update? Was a constant power supply used? If so, which one? I'm about ready to tackle this soon, but still looking at power supplies. Get conflicting reports when searching forum. If you did 3 different cars, then I would maybe just get that one.

Yes a constant power source was used but what type don't know, I would either PM cegeste as he is the one that did this for us.

When are you going back to do more programming? I am in the north bay, but cautious to do this myself after reading the problems with flashing. I like the idea of the car starting in S5, P500 and windows rolling up, but don't have the equipment to do it. I have an 2006.
