Lastly the coatings are extremely durable. Depending on the specific coating, the process used, and the type of part coated, coated parts can
experience added life spans of double to 10-times that of uncoated parts. In normal use, you can expect near lifetime protection from rust and corrosion on exhaust parts.
i figured it would reduce heat soak and increase longevity but im still skeptical as to the hp gained from this. any dynos i could look at?

Perhaps the hp gains are too small if anything and won't show but the other benefits are worth it already. Lowered intake and engine temps won't necessarily increase hp but they can certainly prevent power loss from heat soak.

it would be interesting to see two cars side by side running on a dyno one with coating the other non coated and see which one and at what point power loss occurs

okay guys just got off the phone with randy from jethot in NC he stated that with the jet hot $250.00 basic alluminate ceramic coating will reduce under the hood temps by about 15 to 20 percent and will have a chrome looking finish with a max rating skin temp of 1300 degrees he says thats all i'll need since im naturally aspirated he says i could run my engine all day over 100 mph and never go over 1100 degrees. however, i could do the black finish with more external layers of coating for $325.00 and have up to a 30 degrees decrease in under the hood temp and the headers will have a max skin rating of 1500 degrees with a black finish. however, i asked him how thick is the layer of alluminate ceramic coating inside the headers and he stated it is about 1-2 mm thick or about .003 of an inch. im wondering if the coating on the inside is going to cause a loss in hp? anyone...oh i forgot to mention after any of the coatings they offer your headers will be guaranteed for life.

As far as I know, there are four of us so far on this board that have the RPI headers with Jet Hot coating: me, ACG, M6Koo, and Joe Trinity (although I think he sold his car). The coating we got from Jet Hot was the Sterling Silver but they may have renamed it as I don't see it on their site anymore. For our V10 headers, the cost came out to around $400 I believe.

I think I like how the black coating sounds. I might do that one. Thanks for calling them dude!

Yep the price was just above $400 as they did not take into consideration the coating of the test pipes.
