Thinking about to get rpi scoop & filter, block off plate, rpi exhaust ... Must have or not?.....

Guys,

My illness has came back... I have my car only for 3weeks and already thinking about doing mods on my beast.

I see a lot of members equipped with aftermarket exhaust, air scoop, filter and block off plate. I have contacted the shop for warranty issue after installing all these goodies but they said they have no problem to take their car at local BMW dealer for regular manitenance visits.

Should I or should I not buy this packages? Are these parts throw any codes or check engine light? I'm about 98% leaning to purchase... but your opinion counts.

Thanks

You will be fine with these mods. No codes since you won't be touching the headers.

Let the moding begin!

15-20 if you get it with cats (secondary) probably 25-30 without (still have primary cats in your headers). Honestly the best part of the exhaust is the noise! Our v10's come alive.

When you have facts, those are usually preferred over opinions.

There is so bloody much info on these issues and you live in the same City as RPI, make use of the search function and make informed decisions. Plus, you can call or visit the shop?

I realize that a search and read is normally done in solitude, however if you really are seeking enlightenment, well. . . . .

Why? Because I am old and grumpy!

I did the scoops, filters, block off plates and evosport pulley and the car feels much more responsive and pulls harder than stock. Exhaust wise I can't comment but I have no pre cats and a customized magnaflow exhaust from precats back. I'm happy with it, add an ESS/RPI stage II tune and I am sure it will be enough for my daily needs, ESS VT2 kit is on the cards when multiple purchasers give feedback.
