Looks good. Seems it'll have a lot of similar characteristics to the New 7.

the headlights are getting better.... i like how the hi/lo's are closer together, i think one of my big peevs with the new 7 is the fact that there is a huge gap inbetween the two.... not to mention the furry eyebrows....

        thanks gustav!

        Hmmmm....

Something not quite right about that car...

The tail lights are misaligned and the trunk looks, well open !

Also, the wheels look awfully like my 325's. Aren't those already available for the current gen 5?

It looks better, I agree, than earlier CGI's. But I think that it's still only that....

Interesting that the spy shots show the E60's trunk and front completely hooded. So much so, you can't really make out any details. Is that typical for tester cars?

Yep, that is the norm for test mules like this one.

I actually saw a test mule of the new CLK in person this february.
It was light blue (kind of like our Steel blue) and had fabric coverings over hood and trunk. The rest of the body was taped wherever there were any creases, lines or moldings.
The interior was hidden up as well, especially the parts where you would normally find the MB logo.

It took me a while to figure out what car this was, couldn't believe that this ugly hunk of junk was the new CLK. That said, I do like the look of the new CLK from the press photos, so there is no judging the outcome from these test photos.

I've been saying it for some time: The E60 will look good and the E60 ///M5 will be the new

This is my problem exactly. I think the distance between the headlights ruins the familiar BMW facial expression. I'm not opposed to innovation, but some aspects must remain to show a link to the previous models. Good call.

        I like the trunk.

Not as bad as the E65, but the rear light looks like a 1999 Honda Civic I guess for Chris Bangle that is called 'progress'
