E60 comment from BMW(SA) Boss

The South African BMW Boss was asked about the E60 at the recent launch of the new MINI.

He said he had been to germany to see the current proposals and could say only this

1) The rear is NOT radical like the new 7 series

2) All new engines will be available

3) The front has some elements from the 7, but it is softer in appearance

4) The car will still be sporty, unlike the E class Merc

5) They are testing a number of special engines for the M5 and M3

Just so you all know, I actually LIKE the trunk on the 7.

(Now I'm off to go prepare the fort for the lynch mob)

If BMW lowers the harsh styling down from the 7, no doubt will the new m5 be superior, from the sounds of it the new 7 series alreay has equal if not better handling and its bigger and fatter... and the new m5 with that "race inspired F1" engine can be the work only of a great german car company... ill do my best to keep my hopes up for the New M5, but as for now my love interest in cars is still the current M5

and keeping it as a museum, considering a car as a rolling work of art is more typical than unusual.
