However, being 6'2", and with friends starting at that height, and then getting taller, the C63 wasn't going work - even with just me and the family. With the driver seat set for me, not even my 7-year old could sit behind me comfortably. Forget the 8-year old, or the baby in the car-seat.

FUN car, gorgeous car, but a 5-seater it is not (unless you're from The Shire). I love cars - enjoying their art as much as their engineering, so I have no problem in tipping the cap to any manufacturer, when they produce a wee gem like the C63. The M5 is just a bigger, better gem.
Yeah, I agree, there is not a whole lot of room in the back of a C class. But "size wise" the C63 AMG is more comparable to the M3.

Looking at the stats, I couldn't agree more that the C63 is something to compare to the E9X M3. Pretty tight straight line comparison, but I'm sure the M would conquer on the track.

Dear Gustav!

I respect your decision.

However, I would request you to remove the ban and give the guy one more chance. We never know what the guy was going through and what lead him to write the post. Perhaps he was just having a bad day.

I beleive he shall realise his mistake and be a better member of this community.

He posted repeatedly in response to me and other members continuing his immature behavior after his initial childish post.

He had about 4-5 days to man up, but did not.

I think that BNZ was failing to make the AMG C-class compete against the M3. I always felt sorry for the C AMG cuz I never considered any of the M3's to be a fast car in the straights! So after all these years of failure, they just dropped the 6.2 NA engine found in all of their cars in the C class and called it C63.. Which I believe is another failure. It's like putting the S85 V10 in the M3, detuning it, and call it a faster car!

I agree, it was kind of a cheap move by Merc to just stuff the 63 motor into the C class since it is the same motor in all their other high performance cars. But next year Mercedes is changing that. The new E63, S63, CLS63, CL63 AMG's are going to have the V8 Bi-turbo motor. While I believe the C class is going to keep the N/A V8 motor it has now.
