That article does not sound good. Why can't they mix the Ultimate Driving Machine with advanced electronics. Why would they so dramtically alter something that all ready works? I think they need to take a new approach and ask some real drivers what the Ultimate Driving Machine means. Someone like Ralph, Juan or Gerhard. Between the three they could help BMW travel down the correct path, they are kind of late in the game hear something needs to be done fast.

Who did Bangle work for previously?

Cuz they are not thinking straight... Mercedes is thinking straight... very straight... I'm very bitter about the BMWs design direction if anyone cant tell.

I'm also incredibly pissed off....this is absurd.

I hope BMW can financially ride out the storm, because they are going to get NAILED!

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I'm with M PHATIC on this one. This will be a wait and see game for me. I won't make any harsh judgments just yet.

Oh, yeah, and make BMW an American car..... thanx but no thanx

I think all will be well, just wait and see. It will definitely look different, but then the E39 5-series already looks a bit dated (but is still beautifull), so it has to be changed soon.

Remember that car-styling in Europe is more progressive than in the States (best example: changing the tail-lights on the Maserati GT Spyder from special 'boomerang style' to ordinairy 'Golf style' just to adapt to the American market. ........ BAD DECISION!)

Personally I hope the E60 will look modern, agressive and with a slightly less pronounced bootlid...... it will be nice, I bet you!

Yes, I alment the fact that the boomerang tail lights were dropped from the new 4200 Maserati. Poor decision.

The boomerang style lights were a lot more original and better. As for now , i think i'd stick with a 02 E39 if i can afford it...
