It seems some of us can't just let things be! Have you considered that you may have just seriously jeapordized Tjav8b's negotiation power? By keeping the cover on the crash dealer, he has (well, had) the carrot of keeping it to himself and the stick of releasing the name. I imagine that release of this knowledge will have a material affect on the dealership economically -- at least in the short term. Since none of you could heed the advice to wait or respect his wishes, you have taken from him the ability to choose the time of this revelation. You have used something that was not truly yours (although to some extent it was entrusted to you) to his detriment. By that measure, are you all that different than this dealership? I won't go so far as to equate the two, but they are on the same spectrum. You selfishly satisfied your own desires at the expense of , against his express wishes and agains his interest.

You might want to consider letting them know that, against your wishes, the cast is out of the bag. I guess the only way they can avoid the negative publicity and almost certain loss of sales and service business is to now bring you to 105% and to do it in a very public way.
If the thread creator WANTED the dealership named he should have done it by now, in capital letters, by himself. Obviously he does not want to name them and do respect that.

Yeah, ease up andrewsherman. That was a slip and he knows it. Probably an "oh $hit" moment. I can appreciate not giving the name, and the effort to keep it under wraps, but in this case it was an honest mistake and nobody came out with the name.
