Retrofit OEM TV Module

I'm sure this has probably been covered before, but is there anyway to fit the OEM TV Module into a car that does not have it fitted?

Anyone in the UK know of anyone who can do this? Have seen some retro installs and there are non oem aerials and stuff attached to the windscreen, I wouldn't want this, I'd want it to be just as if the car had been factory fitted with the option.

Thanks.

I would say not. Mine has moniters in the rear head rests and a non std dvd multi changer in the boot thats plays all files plus a dvb digital tv tuner with no aftermarket ariael that i can see but works bang on which is a far better setup the the incar bmw job! Uses wireless head phones on fm modulation from the cars stereo

Yes you can!
It is best to be done at a main dealer though.
I had it done on my 645ci 4 years ago and it costed me 2,400.00 as it involves many hours or idrive reprograming.
The job was as factory, but the only irritation is that it was only visible when the car was stationary.
You can have the digital version now as well.
Check with your dealer for current pricing.

Well that's good that it can actually be done! It's very expensive though! But I guess that's what you get when you want it OEM!

This is why I decided not to fit it on the M6.
Plus I bought the M6 to drive it, not to watch telly in it!

True, now that you mention the Mrs, I spend ages in the car waiting for her to come out of a shop!

I have to act as taxi to my daughters and use the TV function a lot - generally pretty poor signal though but it does fill in the waiting time? I keep meaning to put a couple of DVD's in but always forget
