God drives an M5!

Well I've come to the conclusion that GOD MUST drive an M5 and has been looking after me personally the last 2 weeks!

Last week was the scary inident at 200mph Scary incident at 200mph! Caught on video!

Then Thursday I had a blow out at around 150-160mph. Scary moment again! Happened the moment I hit the gas accelerating, the car lurched to the left violently and felt like was going to do a full 360 or even roll. Held it on 3/4 opposite lock out of instinct not down to any skill. Braked gently and came to a slow stop, only facing straight at around 80mph and then get on the brakes harder to come to a safe stop. Amazing I was so out of breath I had actually held my breath for the duration of the event and sat still holding my breath for I don't know how long with wheel in hands even when sationary!

Amazing luck, even the rim was perfect shape still! Seems that the tyre had come away but left enough rubber on the rim to NOT damage the wheel! Not even damaged the body work or wheel arch! Surely I feel blessed and have someone watching over me.

I think next mod needs to be rubber pants! My next event is next Saturday at bruntingthorpe so hoping my bad luck has had it's run and someone is still watching over me!

Did you inspect the tire to see what caused it to fail?

Man, take it easy.. check your tires before doing an over 120mph run.

Man thats crazy and glad you are safe...

Your tires must be old. Anything over 2 years is dangerous to have on your car!
