My car is black, with matte black side gilles, matte black front grilles, and tinted tails.
Should I keep it going and get matte black wheels? Or break it up a little and go with gold?
I know the matte black wheel will look great but I almost want to be brave and try a gold wheel, not sure how it will look though.
I would go the photoshop route first before sinking cash into wheels. That at least will give you an idea of how it may look, although we all know it doesn't really compare to real life. I would go with the black personally.
Although I think the all black, murdered-out image still looks awesome when done right, I think it's also getting a bit too common. Lately I'm beginning to feel gold/bronze wheels on a black car or stepped lip wheels instead of straight lip, looks pretty unique and racy. Or combine the two, bronze stepped lip wheels.
Or like someone else mentioned, maybe do hyper black. That's the route I went with. Or powdercoat the whole wheel black and polish just the face. I might try that in the spring.
I believe the gold centered wheels on a black car look good. Personally it needs to be a BBS wheel like the E46 M3 shown above.
This looks has been ballz on with Porsches especially race cars. The gold center BBS (E88) race wheels are hot.
I say do it.
Those are a little too "mustard" colored for me...
