RPM Jerk/ Slipping?

Yo Yo Yo. Haven't posted in here in a while because of the astounding amounts of d-baggery that indeed went on here when I posted, but I actually have a question. I have recently been experiencing a bit of jerking in both manual and automatic modes. The revs increase around 2,000 rpm, even tho I do not increase pressure on the throttle... Almost like a clutch is slipping. I can tap the gas and it will level back out. It's just annoying. At the same time that I started experiencing this, my cruise control fails to engage. Just wondering if any of you have experienced this with other E60's or SMG's. BTW, it is very under warranty still in case the shiz has went batshiz in my bim.

Thanks and hopefully this won't cause a debauched thread of guys with nice cars trying to hit on a girl that actually knows something about cars, LoL.

Regards.

Sounds like a clutch going out, perhaps?

I don't know how many miles a clutch on the V10 M5 generally lasts, however??

It sounds like your clutch is slipping...might be time for a new one shortly. How many miles are on your car?

I assume you did the SMG reset. You might need to bring it into BMW to check for clutch faults. Interestingly, I brought mine to BMW awhile back, and there were no faults, but when my installer put in the stroker engine, he found my clutch to be completely shot. The clutch is certainly not the strongest link in these cars.

I think I am experiencing the same thing as you. I dont have the cruise control issues, but there seems to be an accelerator lag that is noticeable, but wasnt there before. I have been meaning to take mine in, please let me know if you find something out.

Yea I would definitely get the dealer to check it out. Hopefully your car is still under warranty.
