Gas mileage after Dinan S2

In general, does adding heavy mods to the car, like the S2 package, have any impact on gas mileage? (And I don't mean from driving the car harder because of the awesome new exhaust note, and better torque.) Given that the car is driven the same, does having better intake, exhaust, and final drive ratios, increase or decrease gas mileage?

Thanks.

I probably wasn't clear in my post about the stroker, but my gas consumption seems to have slightly increased with the stroker. But that is preliminary data, and I need to make a fair highway comparison.

As far as the S2 package, I didn't notice any change in fuel consumption.

I would think the lower ratio diff would cause it to burn more fuel and oil since its running on higher revs in all conditions. The bigger throttle bodies will be a factor in full throttle yet im not sure how it does in everyday driving.

A related question: how is S2 for everyday driving? Around town and in highway traffic?
I'm asking here about drive-ability.

I don't have the diff, but it would make sense that more fuel is used since the engine is revving higher than the stock diff at all speeds. I must admit, gas mileage wasn't even a remote consideration when modding my car.

I care some about fuel. I want an M5 as a daily driver. I have 75 miles round trip a day. If S2 is a great reduction in mileage I probably won't get one with it.

Then I'd recommend S2 without the diff and calling the people at Dinan for more info. When I just had the intakes, throttle bodies, exhaust, and software, I had no noticeable decrease in gas mileage, and actually got 21 MPG on the highway.
