Carlsbad M5 Density

I know this may not be the best place to post this but i figured it would get more views.

There seems to be a large number of M5's in Carlsbad, CA. I have been down here on a project and seem to see multiple each day. Just today I saw a white E60 M5 in the Sheraton Carlsbad parking lot with custom rims and a cool aftermarket spoiler.

Also often see a Maroon M5 and a Space Gray M5 near Faraday Way.

Do these cars belong to anybody on this board? Would love to have my E60 M5 down one of these days rathar than driving the rental.

Leucadia M5 here
You're right. There's a lot of M5's in this area, and you run into other M5 drivers daily!

Yeah I live in downtown San Diego also. I don't go up to Carlsbad much, but I believe that there are a few M5's up there. Just last weekend I was driving on the streets downtown and I saw 2 other M5's, but they were E39 M5's though. I'm trying to come up with a cool way of giving other M5 drivers respect on the road here in San Diego. So far all I've been able to come up with is a cool Thumbs Up! I wish I could do a fist pound but that wouldn't work too good. Maybe a flashing of the lights, or honk on the horn would be cool too. On a side note someone in building just bought a 2006 black M5 with alternate black BMW rims. I'm wondering if they are already on the board or not. I see it parked in my building's garage everyday. I'm tempted to put a note on their window to say hi and see if they are on the board. If anybody has any cool ideas of giving each other's M5's a respect sign on the road please post them here!

Cheers!

No luck so far on identifying these 3 M5's that I see running around Carlsbad. Perhaps they are not on the board.

I'm in Carlsbad (right on Encinitas/Leucadia border).

Crazy thing happened a few weeks ago coming back from Orange County...I passed 2 identical Silverstone M5s. I really think the M5 is at epidemic levels around here.

I've seen the white one mentioned earlier in the thread on Palomar Airport Road.

Hehe, you guys should drive through Irvine one of these days. It's like BMW central...

I've seen no less than 3 E60 M5's in Irvine in one day driving no more than 3 miles.

Though there are a lot more E60 M5's than E39 M5's, the one M that is all over is the E46 M3. I see SO many of those things I swear I see more of those than regular E46's...

BMW's largest market and strongest is California. More M cars sold here then anywhere else. Latest financial release from BMW shows Western region carried BMW this past month...still down like 20%, but carried nonetheless.
