Whats the fitting time for Evosport pulley and belts?

I have just had my evosport pulley and belts fitted while my cars was in for a service, they charged me 3 hours plus some time for diagnostic check/clear?? Think I have been had!

The breakdown of this part of the invoice is:

Remove and refit vibration damper AW 20.00 £154.42
Calling fault memory in diagnosing system AW 4.00 £30.89
Replace alternator drive belt AW 10.00 £77.21
Replace air connector compressor drive belt AW 9.00 £69.49
Total £332.01 PLUS VAT!!!

Eloy at RPI suggests 45mins to an hour on a cold engine, are there any differences that can account for the difference??

I got mine from CA, Roy can you chime in here?

Surely the labour for just the vid damper (pulley) covers taking off the belts to do the work???
Also the labour for one of the belts (guessing Alternator as it takes longer) covers the other as you would have to take the front belt off to get to the other????

Does anyone have access to the 'book' times?
Has anyone had it done at a stealer? Can you let me know what time they took, and cost and if poss let me have a copy of that part of the invoice.

If I am right in what I think then I need to make a case to get them to refund the difference.

Regards

Jay

I payed £150 for Evosport pulley install. £550 or so for headers install. Both were done at the same time at a BMW dealership.

Shouldn't take more than 1.5 if you never did one. I was there when they put mine in, my mechanic took about 45minutes to do it. He said it was a pain because the space is tight but no way 3 hrs. I think I gave him 120us to install it. I have the RPI but the pulleys are basicly the same. Sounds like u got screwed

If BMW Sweden charge me £150 for pulley install why would a shop in the UK charge around £350? Simple as that...

James....i think stealers have a timetable for the work so it might end up cheaper with them, but other place do not work to a "timetable ", so you'll get charged for the time taken to do the work,

i.e yr exhaust cost me 2 hours labour to fitted, the spring cost 7 hours , but then i dont mind as i know the guys that did it is worth the extra cost
